Frequently Asked Questions

Q:What time should I expect the C & J Crew to arrive?
A: Expect the crew to be at your house between 9:00am and 10:00am unless otherwise notified by the C & J office.

Q: What do I need to do to prepare for the C & J Crew?
A: The crew needs 2 feet of space to work on either side of the fence. Please remove any potted plants and yard decorations from that area. Please remove anything that is attached to the fence that you don’t want us to haul away.

Q: Do I need to be there when the crew arrives?
A: Although it is best for you to be present when the crew arrives, we understand that work and other commitments may not allow you the time. Please be sure to give the office a phone number where you can be reached throughout the day in case there are any questions

Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: No, Payment is due 100% upon completion

Q: If I share a fence with my neighbor can you do separate invoicing for them?
A: Yes, we would be more than happy to do a split invoice for your neighbor. Please contact the Office and they will provide you with a form to fill out in order to complete separate invoicing. Keep in mind that the contracted person will be 100% liable if your neighbor does default on payment.

Q: What types of Payments do you except?
A: Check , Cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover Card (NO AMERICAN EXPRESS)
Your card will not be charged until the job is complete

Q: What type of Warranty/ Guarantee do you offer on your products?
A:

  • Wood Fences
    • 10 Years on Pressure Treated Posts or Kickboards
    • 1 year on all gates
  • Iron and Vinyl
  • Retaining Wall
  • Arbors / Decks

Q: What can I do to maintain my new fence?
A: If Possible, try to keep your fence from being exposed from constant water exposure (sprinklers, automatic watering systems) and keep clear from excess vegetation.

Q: Do you offer a sealant for my finished fence?
A: Yes, C & J Fencing uses an oiled based sealant called Presevawood. We can spray it on your fence for an additional charge after your fence is installed. Please contact the office is you are interested in having your fence preserved with this sealant.

Q: Does your pressure treated lumber contain Arsenic?
A: C & J Fencing uses only NatureWood brown stained (ACQ) which contains NO Chromated Copper Arsenate.
